Dawn Butler

Dawn Butler is a member of Parliament a politician who is known for her straight talking and inspirational speeches.


Dawn made history as the first Black woman to speak from the despatch box in the house of commons, she was first ever elected female African-Caribbean government minister in the House of Commons.


Dawn uses her platform for others again making history by using British Sign Language to ask a question in the House of Commons to raise awareness for the rights of deaf people. A champion for the rights of the LGBTQI+ community fighting for Black Lives Matters, young people and others.


Recognised as one of Vogue’s ‘25 Most Influential Women in the UK’. Is there other ways Dawn can use her unique style, experience and energy to tell a story not yet told, or highlight an issue in another way, or even just have fun and show that not all politicians are white, male and stale, as the saying goes.
